New Years Eve

This year for New Years Eve we didn't really have big plans. In the morning I braided Gretchen's hair for the first time. For those of you who are thinking who cares. Well that is a huge thing for me. I have had a fear about doing my daughters hair. So this is a big step.

Then we we went to Sizzler for lunch. I only ended up taking two pictures and they happened to be of Gretchen eating an Ice Cream cone.


Then we were going to have a exciting party just the four of us, but then Andrea called and invited us to an impromptu party at her house.
This is Easton doing a Popper thing.

I missed the stuff coming out of the Poppers every time.
Easton's favorite part of the night was when he got to play with the dart guns. I actually think that is what he did all night. Of course I didn't get any pictures of that. We had a good time we played a few games, ate and talked.

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year in our house. We invited Chad's parents to stay with us. We loved having them here. Last year we started the tradition of opening a present on Christmas Eve and of course it was Pajamas.

I wish I would have taken a picture of Easton as he was pulling the pajamas out of the box. He was so excited.

This is a picture Christmas morning. As you can tell they were both mad I made them take a picture before they could see if Santa came.

I don't have the best pictures. Easton thought his toothbrush was awesome.

Apparently after I took this picture of Easton opening a present I didn't feel the need to take any more pictures. I usually take a million but not on Christmas morning.

Christmas afternoon while Gretchen was sleeping Chad and Easton went sledding with the new sled Santa brought and then came home and made this snowman.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! I want to thank Andrea for lending me her old Camera. Ours broke two days before Christmas.

Saturday

Here is our Saturday:

Chad went out to shovel the snow. Easton wanted to go play. He got all dressed up and then got mad at me when I told him Gretchen couldn't come. So he went outside. Then Gretchen got mad at me for not letting her go Outside.(She can say outside)

So she went outside in Easton's old hat.(She may be getting one from Santa this year)

Here are the two of them watching Dad Shovel. Then Easton's feet got cold because he needed new boots and his tennis shoes have a hole in them(he needs new tennis shoes too.) So we went inside for a while. Then we went Christmas shopping and found Easton some boots.

He went in the backyard and played awhile. He also made a snow angel. After awhile he came inside and

Joined a Rock Band. He really enjoys wearing this snow hat.

He gets into his guitar playing.

We enjoy playing Rock Band at our house.

Potato Heads and Ornaments

Today I had a lot of things I wanted to get done around the house, but instead here is what we did.

We like Potato Heads at our house. Gretchen and Easton both enjoy putting the parts in there mouth and putting the glasses on. I have a million pictures.

Then when Gretchen was sleeping Easton and I made some more ornaments for our empty tree and a wreath.

We like doing the art projects. I really like them and am very glad Easton likes them to.

Graham Cracker Houses

Last year we built a Gingerbread house from a kit. This year I decided to do Graham Cracker Houses.

Easton is trying to decide what Candy to put on his house and you can tell Gretchen is totally thinking hmmm which candy should I eat first.

This is my favorite part of Gretchen's. She tasted the Green ones and realized she didn't like it so she just put it on her roof with a bite out of it.

Easton did all of his by himself and I of course helped Gretchen a bit. She put most her candy's down in the middle.

Family Christmas Party!!

This weekend we had our Family Christmas Party on Chad's side. It was fun. Lots of Family, Food and Fun games.

It was freezing cold so Chad carried Gretchen outside like this. She thought it was really fun and got mad when Chad put her down.

Gretchen liked Santa but not so much when she sat on his lap.

She did however love the bag of goodies she got when she got off his lap.
Easton was a little worried because Santa new he was Naughty.
Chad took a picture of me on Santa's lap and since I am not in pictures that often I figured what the heck I will put it on.
Does this kid look so happy. He was mad that we made him get in a picture with all the kids and Santa.

Easton did somehow win a Rock, Paper, Scissor Challenge and he only ever did Rock. (I am pretty sure the older Cousins helped him) He now really enjoys paper, rock, scissors. If you want to win just do paper.

Oompa Loompa

Last night we had spaghetti for dinner. Gretchen was very very hungry. We looked over at her and her face was almost completely orange. Easton used to be messy but I don't think he ever got his whole face.

These pictures really don't show the orange that well.

It reminded me of the Oompa Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

Easton wanted a picture of him and so I took two and both times this is what they looked like.

Letter to Santa

Yesterday I helped Easton write a letter to Santa Claus. Here is what he told me to say. At least he is trying to be Honest I guess. He actually has added more things since I took the picture. He also wanted to add Gretchen's list to his letter since she can't talk very much. He is already trying to be NICE.

Candy Cane Ornaments

Today Kendall came over to play with Easton. Easton was beyond excited. We don't get visitors very often so he gets all hyper and excited. They watched a Christmas movie and then we made Salt Dough Candy Cane Ornaments.

I didn't have as much salt as the recipe called for so they didn't work out as well as they could of, but they turned out good enough for our tree.

I love how I pull out the camera and Kendall automatically poses and Easton just does weird stuff.
