A day in the Life

Kinslee makes me laugh a lot.  I think Heavenly Father sent me her at this time for a reason.  Here are pictures I took of her all throughout the day.  She is naughty, but look at that huge Cheesy smile how can you not smile at that.

One of those Weeks

So I have a few things I want to blog about but that would require me to get the pictures from the camera and I don't really want to do that.  This week (I know it is only Wednesday)  has been long.  Easton and Gretchen have turned into mortal enemies and are constantly arguing, hitting, pushing, crying and whining.  I just don't know how much more I can take.  I need to figure out a plan to stop the whining.  If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.
I do love them to pieces so I will end with a picture of the cute kids. Hopefully they will decide they like each other again soon.

Dairy Farm & Silly Faces

Today we were able to go on a field trip to a dairy farm for Easton's preschool. Gretchen thought she was pretty cool and I am pretty sure she thinks she is in school now just like Easton.
I learned a few things on this field trip.
1. I am glad that my parent's weren't dairy farmers. They both grew up on farms and decided that life wasn't for them I guess. I would have hated it.
2. I am glad I am human and not a cow. Those poor cows have babies once a year.
3. My kids aren't huge animal lovers when you are up close and personal with animals. I guess they are more like there mother and prefer them in cages and stuff.

Later in the day after we got back from the dairy farm Gretchen and Easton were making funny faces and asking me to take there pictures so here is what we got. I think someone needs to teach them some more exciting funny faces. My favorite is when I told Gretchen to make a funny face and she put her finger up her nose. We are crazy at our house.

Slug Bug

So we have been playing the slug bug game all of Easton's life. We don't play the actual slug your neighbor way that I played when I was growing up. We just say slug bug and the color and whoever gets the most by the time we get to our destination is the winner.

Easton decided to switch it up the other day. He decided that after someone got a slug bug then he got to ask them a question and if you answered his question right you got the slug bug point. Well his questions don't make sense so you never know if you are going to get the right answer. It is pretty entertaining.

So while I was looking for a picture of a slug bug online they have actual rules. Did you know it is really called punch buggy? Who knew?

Saturday

Here is our Saturday:
Chad went out to shovel the snow. Easton wanted to go play. He got all dressed up and then got mad at me when I told him Gretchen couldn't come. So he went outside. Then Gretchen got mad at me for not letting her go Outside.(She can say outside)
So she went outside in Easton's old hat.(She may be getting one from Santa this year)

Here are the two of them watching Dad Shovel. Then Easton's feet got cold because he needed new boots and his tennis shoes have a hole in them(he needs new tennis shoes too.) So we went inside for a while. Then we went Christmas shopping and found Easton some boots.

He went in the backyard and played awhile. He also made a snow angel. After awhile he came inside and

Joined a Rock Band. He really enjoys wearing this snow hat.

He gets into his guitar playing.

We enjoy playing Rock Band at our house.

Here is What Happens When....

Here is what happens when you leave your 1 year old unattended for just a few minutes. Gretchen enjoys sitting on the kitchen table. I usually try to have it cleaned off. This morning however I forgot to put the Cheerio box away. I ran downstairs to change the laundry and came back up and found this. Easton never climbed up things like Gretchen does. This is all new territory.

Today's Thankful Feather consisted of these four items. You will have to decide who said what.
Vacuums, Football, Chips, and Baby. Here is a picture of our Thankful Turkey taken this morning.(It is pretty ugly!) I think it needs a name other then thankful turkey, any suggestions?

A bit of a Slump!

So I have had a bit of a blogging slump, at least for me. Life hasn't been to exciting lately just the regular day to day stuff. So I guess here is what I got. I don't have any new pictures of Easton because he fell the other day and cut his lip. I should have taken a picture of it but it really looks kind of gross so I spared all of you. Gretchen is naughty and seems to enjoy it. We are calling her Naughtia(I don't know how to spell it) now days.

As you can see Gretchen took off her pants and then proceeded to climb onto the sewing table. She thought it was so funny when I looked at her.

When I make dinner she thinks she needs to get out the pans or she gets in the cupboard with the pans. It must depend on her mood.

Easton this morning brought me a Navy Blue Sweatshirt and asked what the letters were. About an hour later he came up to me and asked, "Mom what are those letters on the Gravy Blue sweatshirt?" Who doesn't love the color Gravy Blue.

Getting into Things!

Gretchen likes to get into things. It doesn't matter if it is a box a bin a toy box whatever she tries to get in it. I only have a few pictures but here are some of Gretchen getting into things she isn't supposed to.

Yes that is Gretchen in a curio cabinet. Luckily nothing is in it yet. This is not her first time in it but I was able to grab a picture of her before she got in some serious trouble.

Summer

This is a picture of Easton pushing Gretchen in his dump truck. She tipped over just as I took it. She laughed and thought it was funny.

At Gretchen's Birthday Party his cousins taught him how to climb the tree. This is as far as he gets but he still thinks he is pretty cool.

This is what summer is all about. Eating Otter Pops!

Gretchen loves to Eat her own Otter Pop!

This is the Life

When we are driving you can often look back at Easton in his car seat and he has his arms behind his head and his legs crossed. I have always wanted a picture and was finally able to get one this past weekend. It isn't the best picture but it just cracks me up that he sits this way so often.
