Happy Thanksgiving 2011

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Andrea and Chucks house.  I forgot my camera, but here is a picture of our Thankful Turkey.  Each day we each wrote something we were thankful for on a feather for our thankful turkey.     Thanksgiving was delicious.  The kids had the time of there life playing with all of there cousins.  They love going to Aunt Andrea's and Uncle chucks house.    Chad took the kids home around 8 to put them in bed and I hung out with my sister and planned my black Friday shopping.  Andrea, Marshal and I went to Target this year.  We came out of the store a half hour after it opened with everything on our list.  I was home in bed at 1am.  It was awesome.

Thankful Turkey's

Our Thankful Turkey's were a hit this year.  Easton and Gretchen both loved doing it and it was fun to see what they were thankful for each day.

Thankful Turkey's

A few years ago we did a thankful turkey countdown to thanksgiving.  I decided to do this again this year.
Easton and his turkey.  I think he truly thinks about what he is thankful for all day or he really just likes to write on a feather and glue it on.  It could really be either one.

Gretchen gets it this time around and I loved what she was thankful for today.  She said that Dad can go to work.  I will post picture of the completed turkey at the end of the month.

Thanksgiving!

This year for Thanksgiving we were in Idaho. It was fun lots of food and lots of family. I had big plans to take lots and lots of pictures. Somehow I only got like 3.

This is a picture of Great Grandpa and part of the Great Grand kids.

Gretchen couldn't make it through the pictures.

Easton had an awesome time. He didn't want to leave. He got to sleep over at his cousin Grayson's house one night and the next night his cousin Korbin slept over at Grandma and Grandpas. If we couldn't find him we always knew to look in the shop. He loves to go to the shop and Uncle Travis, Uncle Creed or Grandpa let him build all sorts of fun things.

On Friday morning I was able to go to Walmart bright and early and get a few things. I have to say I love the "Black Friday" Shopping. I prefer to go with someone but I had no one to go with this year and I did it all by myself. We had a very eventful and fun trip. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I love this picture. She is talking to the Kitties. I know you all think she doesn't talk because she only does when she is with her mom and dad but she was yelling Kitties. It was cute and you will just have to believe me.

Finnally!

Today we put the last feather on our Thankful Turkey. Easton everyday asked is it Thanksgiving yet. I don't know if he 100% knows what Thanksgiving is but he does know that the day before thanksgiving he gets to see his grandparents.

Easton and Gretchen our Thankful today that I let them watch a movie.

This is Gretchen's favorite seat lately.

Turkey Cupcakes

For activity days this week we made Turkey cupcakes! Thanks Andrea for the great idea, it was a hit!!! Easton was way excited that there was a few leftovers so he could make his own. I actually think he just wanted to eat it.

This isn't a very good picture, but this is what they looked like except they had coconut on them also. I just didn't have coconut.

Here is Easton eating his lovely creation. This is mid bite.

This is Gretchen's first time licking the beater and oh man did she like that!!!

Our Turkey and Being Thankful!

I thought I would put a picture of our Thankful Turkey up now that it is starting to look more like a turkey. I am glad I decided to do this because I really do think Easton gets it most days. Some days I wonder but then I remember he is only 3 almost 4 and that he will get it soon enough if I continue to teach him of all the things there are to be thankful for. On Sunday our family had to speak in sacrament meeting. I was scared to death like I always am when I have to get up in front of people. This time it was only a little worse then in times past because Easton was giving a talk also. Chad helped him every night, they practiced reading this book.
Then of course Sunday when it was Easton's turn he didn't want to do it. After the longest 5 to 10 seconds Chad talked him into reading the story. So Easton gave his first talk in sacrament meeting at the age of 3.

Turkey Hands

On Wednesday afternoon Easton wanted to do something fun. We decided to make turkeys. He likes to color so I thought making turkeys together would be a fun activity since I like to color also.

Easton probably made 5 or 6 but this was his favorite.

Gretchen woke up from her nap while we were doing it and Easton thought she needed to make one and I thought it was so cute I had to share it.

We had a fun Thanksgiving we ate at Andrea and Chucks, along with Kyles family, Chads family, and one of Andrea's neighbors family. It was fun and very delicious. The turkey was my favorite very moist. Then of course Friday morning I went shopping with Andrea. This year I actually started at a different store by myself then met up with Andrea. Friday afternoon we went to Idaho to Chad's parents. We had turkey sandwiches with most of his siblings that night. Then on Saturday we had another Thanksgiving dinner with Chads moms family. It was fun I think I am pretty much turkeyed out though. It was a good Thanksgiving.
