BYU vs Boise State Football Game

We had season tickets to BYU Football this year with some friends. I let Easton take the camera to the Boise state game.

Legacy Midnight Half Marathon

On Friday night Marissa and I ran in the Legacy Midnight Half.

The race started at 10pm so my phones camera didn't take the best pictures in the dark.  

We did really good we ran until about mile 9, that is where we both hit a wall. I didn't train very good and I needed new shoes so I was in a ton of pain. I hurt my knee somehow.  We had a good time and I decided I never want to do a marathon but I want to do another half and get a better time.

Easton's Baptsim

Yesterday was a very special day at our house.  Easton chose to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Easton has been counting down the days for weeks.

Easton told his dad after he got baptized that he was cold on the outside but his insides were so warm. 

Easton had lots of friends come and support him.  He also had a lot of family who came to celebrate with him.

We took Easton along with his grandparents to dinner to celebrate.  He chose to go to sizzler.  He was in heaven that he got to go to dinner just him with all his grandparents and his parents.  (I didn't get a picture with him and grandpa C.)

It was a very good day and we are so proud of Easton for the choice he made.

Weber State Football Game

Yesterday we went to a Weber State football game. 

 Kinslee had a good time.  She had her little bottle of water and was pretty content.

Today we went to a splash pad with some friends.

Sprinkler Fun!

 Today we were able to run through the sprinklers at our friends house.

As a kid I loved running through the sprinklers.  My kids say they like it but I swear they spend way more time on the towels then in the actual water.   

 I begged Easton to lay down in the water.

Kinslee and Lexie weren't huge fans of the water but they had a good time playing together.

On saturday we stood in line to get Jimmer Fredette's Autograph.  It was pretty exciting!

Gretchen got a ball signed, Easton and Vance got there hats signed.  It was pretty fun.  We waited in line with Marshal.  Who doesn't love Jimmer?

Heritage Days 2011

Every year the city we live in has Heritage Days.  It is a week of fun family activities.  This year we went to the movie in the park with some friends.  I forgot the camera though so we didn't get any pictures.  Then Saturday morning Chad and I ran in the 5K.  It was Chad's first race and he didn't pretty dang good.  His time was 24:05.  I was ten minutes behind him coming in at 34:something.  We didn't get any pictures of that either.  Saturday we also watched a Parade.

  Charly, Gretchen, and Kinslee watching the parade.  Charly slept over to watch the kids while we ran in the race.  She is awesome.  We came home from the parade with lots of candy, coupons, and Frisbees.

Later Saturday night we made s'mores with some friends and did sparklers.

After we were done doing sparklers we watched the fireworks. It was a very fun filled week. 

Lexie and Kinslee

One of my best friends had a baby 6 weeks after I had Kinslee.  We hope they are going to be really good friends.  A couple of weeks ago my awesome friend watch my kids while I ran an errand.  She took some pictures of the two cute girls. 

 

  This is the only one Kinslee sort of smiling and Lexie isn't.

Sprinklers and the Pool

Today Easton and Gretchen invited over there friends Vance, and Breanna to play in the sprinklers.  Vance and Breanna brought there swimming pool.  I got a few pictures of them in the pool.

The kids had a good time.  They played in the pool and the water for hours.  You gotta love summer!

Hot Dogs and Sparklers

We have wanted to get a fire pit for a while.  We decided to get this portable one.  We used it for the first time last night.  We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.  The kids loved it and I loved that i didn't have to cook dinner inside.

When it was time to go in our neighbors started doing fireworks and Easton and Gretchen didn't want to leave.

It was sort of a strange 4th of July weekend.  It was extended over a lot of days and it didn't seem normal.  I do love this Country! I love the fireworks and all the fun activities that go along with it. 

Good times!

My friend Marietta invited my kids over to play in her fun backyard. She has a huge slide from her deck, Easton loved it but he went so fast that he landed flat on his face almost every time. Marietta has lots of fun toys for the kids to play on and both Gretchen and Easton were in heaven. They didn't know what to play on and just kept moving from one thing to the next.
