St. Patrick's Day

I love holidays, and like to see my kids get so excited. This year Gretchen and Easton both decided to try catch a leprechaun separately. They both made a little house hopping the leprechaun would stay and live there. The leprechaun only left a few chocolate gold coins for them. I also did the girls hair cute for the day.

Valentine's Day

My kids love Valentime's Day as Gretchen calls it.
Here is Gretchen's cute hear hair.
Kinslee's cute heart hair.

Chad and I gave the kids Pop Rocks.  They have never had them.  I love Pop Rocks and was so excited for them to try them.

I also heart attacked there bedroom doors.  They thought it was pretty cool.

Gretchen came home from school so excited because her friend Tyghe gave her this box of chocolates.  Yes a boy gave my 5 year old a box of chocolates for Valentine's day.

We had our traditional candlelight dinner and then we went to the Weber State Basketball game.  It was a fun game and Weber state killed Montana.  I think it was a very fun Valentine's Day!!

Ponytail and Zout

This morning I put all of Kinslee's hair in a ponytail.  It was super cute we had to take a picture.
The pictures don't really do it justice it seriously was super cute.  While I was showering this morning.  Kinslee found the Zout and decided to have a taste.  I am not sure how much she had but since I have been down this road before, we got her a glass a milk and made her drink it.  She seems to be doing fine.  She just has a super clean insides I guess.

Our Life lately

What we have been up to lately.
Gretchen is ready for some BYU football!
We went to a stake picnic and Kinslee challenged her dad in this pioneer game.
Kinslee is having a hard time that Easton and Gretchen get to go to school everyday.  She found her own backpack and thought if she brought it I would drop her off also.
I decided it was time for a change and chopped off my hair and highlighted it.  I love it and everyone is giving me huge compliments.

Haircut

Gretchen has been asking to get her haircut for months.  I decided that once preschool and dance were done we would cut it.  She wanted it really really short and I wanted it to her chin and Chad wanted us to let it keep growing.  So we compromised.
Before we went into to get it cut.  I am not sure what is up with the smile.  She kind of looks like a chipmunk.
Here is a picture after.  It isn't styled but she looks super cute with the shorter hair.

Kinslee's first pony tail!

This morning I put Kinslee's hair in a ponytail.  She sort of has the beginnings of a mullet but hey what can you do.
She is still super cute.  On another note she is walking.  Not all the time yet but she takes a few steps here and there all throughout the day.  I am sure if we worked with her she would be a pro in no time.

Easton and Gretchen get so excited when they see her walking or doing new things.  I love how excited they get for her.

My Daddy does my hair

Gretchen happened to take this picture of Kinslee wearing this shirt.  I thought it was super cute! Someday I am sure she will have hair.  Some of us just take our time getting it.

Curlers

Growing up I think I had my hair in pink spongy curlers a lot of Saturday nights.  I didn't own any until last week to ever even try put them in Gretchen's hair.  She was so much better than I was at her age.  She just sat there and didn't even complain as I was putting them in her hair.

She wanted to see the back so we took a picture.  She slept in them very good.  I am not a huge hair person and I don't even know if I did it right because it was the first time I had ever put curlers in any ones hair.  I think it turned out pretty cute.

I think it may turn into something we do every Saturday night!

Valentine's 2010

We didn't really do anything that exciting this year for Valentine's Day!

Gretchen and I painted our fingernails red. I was going to put white hearts on them but I am not that talented so red was all we got.

While Gretchen and I were doing our nails Chad and Easton went to the store and bought me these pretty flowers.

Sunday I did Gretchen's hair for V-Day!

I had been practicing for at least a week. I was happily surprised it turned out.
I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of Chad or Easton.
Easton had a Valentines party at school on Friday and he loved it and I was there and had my camera but didn't take a single picture.
I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's day!

Random stuff at our house

This post is going to be just a little random but I wanted to get a few of these things down. So I am not so good at doing my own hair so Gretchen usually has only a few different things done. I have never been able to french braid and so I thought I should try do Gretchen's.
This is what I got. I know it doesn't look that good but I had to take a picture because i did it. I was so proud of myself. My family thought I was crazy.

This month I decided I was going to make my family fun weird foods. So Sunday I made these sludge cups.

It is Lime jello on the bottom and grape jello on the top with gummy worms in it and on top. They all seemed to enjoy them. Especially Easton.
Last night for dinner I made these Mummy dogs. They were a hit. I have a few more fun food ideas that I am hoping to make next week.

The Home Haircut

Chad and Easton were going to go get haircuts, but chad decided to try cut Easton's and if it didn't work out he would just buzz it.(I am not a fan of the buzz on Easton) Well Chad did pretty good. It is pretty short but it looks way better then the weird fuzz head thing he had going. Easton told me he likes the Home haircut. I do also it saves some money.

Then after he got in the shower and cleaned off all the hair he found his Lightning McQueen Razor and shaved.

Easton's Hair

I decided Easton needed his haircut. We tried growing it longer but it just didn't look that great. Here are some before and after pictures. Neither of them are the best. He looks way better with it cut at least I think so.

Pigtails!!

I did Gretchen's hair in pigtails for the first time. I thought it was so cute and it probably will be all out when she wakes up from her nap, so I had to get pictures.

I couldn't get her to smile so this is what I got.

No More Sippy Cup

I think my kids like to make me a liar. Just a week or two ago I had a post about how Gretchen would drink out of a cup. As you can see she now does drink out of a cup. In fact we threw her sippy cups away. She calls them babas, and was a little mad at me when she saw her baba in the trash. We are now three days in and she is doing very well with just a little cup. That means no more walking around with a sipper cup. Wahoo!

Apparently Easton and Chad taught her how to drink out of a cup when I was not home.

I also finally took her to get her haircut and she can see now.

This is my 300th post. That is a lot of posts. I am sure there are a lot more coming.
