St. Patrick's Day

I love holidays, and like to see my kids get so excited. This year Gretchen and Easton both decided to try catch a leprechaun separately. They both made a little house hopping the leprechaun would stay and live there. The leprechaun only left a few chocolate gold coins for them. I also did the girls hair cute for the day.

New Year's Eve

This year for New Years Eve we went to Aunt Andrea and Uncle Chuck's house.  We played games, ate, and just talk.
Kinslee had a good time playing Just Dance with Kendall
This is the only picture I took.

Independence Day!

This year the 4th of July didn't really seem different then other days.  I am not sure why, it was weird.  Anyway here is how we spent our day.
Outside in the stroller painting toenails and watching Easton ride his bike.
 Red, White, and Blue toenails.
Easton hasn't really had a huge desire to ride a bike so training wheels just came off a few weeks ago and yesterday after about two minutes he was riding his bike.  (not the best picture but it will do)
We went and played games while waiting for it to get dark with our cousins and Aunts and Uncles.
of course we did some sparklers.
It finally got dark enough to watch the fireworks.
Gretchen loved them, especially the finale.
I think Easton and Uncle Chuck took a nap during the fireworks.

I am so grateful to live in this country and so thankful to all those who serve and have served to protect us.  God Bless America!

Stuff

My Internet has been being difficult the past few weeks which made me not want to post.  I think I have that fixed now so here is a random post of stuff from my camera.
Easton asked to do his hair all by him self for school.  He thought it looked really good.  I let him go to school that way too.
Gretchen had her dance recital and i didn't take a single picture before and remembered that i should right before she changed.  She had a good time singing and dancing on the stage.
Kinslee's first tooth came in yesterday.  The one next to it will be any day.  Kinslee wont smile when i ask her to for pictures.
Today for Memorial Day we went to the cemetery to put flowers on my grandparents, Mom and brothers graves.  I took this picture of the two older kids looking at the stone.

Valentine's 2011

Valentine's 2011 wasn't that exciting.  Easton went to school and loved that he came home with lots of candy.  While he was at school we did Gretchen's hair.  We thought it was pretty cool!
They are hearts can't really tell from the front view though.

 Back view

 Three super cute kids!
We ate dinner by candle light.  Easton told me that Candle light dinner's are the best ever.
Chad wasn't feeling well so he was done before I remembered to take a picture.  A regular smiling picture just wasn't working out so I told them to make silly faces.  Apparently we need to work on silly faces with Gretchen.
Chad surprised me with roses, and the kids with a little box of candy.  I did not take a picture of those.  We had a Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hot Dogs and Sparklers

We have wanted to get a fire pit for a while.  We decided to get this portable one.  We used it for the first time last night.  We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.  The kids loved it and I loved that i didn't have to cook dinner inside.
Then we played some basketball!
Lit some sparklers

we invited some friends over to join us in the sparkler fun.
When it was time to go in our neighbors started doing fireworks and Easton and Gretchen didn't want to leave.
It was sort of a strange 4th of July weekend.  It was extended over a lot of days and it didn't seem normal.  I do love this Country! I love the fireworks and all the fun activities that go along with it.

Baskets & Egg Hunting

This year we were at Grandma & Grandpa's for Easter.
Finding her basket!
Checking out her loot!It took Easton a while to find his basket. I thought I got a picture of its hiding spot but I guess not. It was on top of a curio cabinet.
The Easter bunny gives my kids toothbrushes and man do they love it!
Comparing there loot!

I don't know what Easton was doing with his mouth.
This has nothing to do with the baskets but isn't it a cute picture!
Later in the day we had a BBQ and a Easter Egg Hunt
I learned that the money was in the yellow eggs so I was helping Gretchen find as many yellow eggs as possible. Easton took off on his own and this is the only picture I have of him.
After the Easter egg hunt they had a pinata. I have to tell you with my fear of swinging bats and things I am not a fan of pinatas. Anyway this was Gretchen's first encounter with the pinata.
Gretchen and Aunt Shantel helping her.
Since it is Spring Break Grandma wanted to keep the kids at her house this week. When Chad and I left they were all smiles and stood and waved goodbye to us.

Special Delivery!

Grandma and Grandpa sent Valentine packages to the kids. The pictures don't really show the excitement because they were after they opened them. They were so excited!
Gretchen got a care bears DVD and some chocolates!
Easton got a Tom & Jerry DVD and chocolates. They were so excited.
They love getting these fun packages from there grandparents.

Valentine's 2010

We didn't really do anything that exciting this year for Valentine's Day!

Gretchen and I painted our fingernails red. I was going to put white hearts on them but I am not that talented so red was all we got.

While Gretchen and I were doing our nails Chad and Easton went to the store and bought me these pretty flowers.

Sunday I did Gretchen's hair for V-Day!

I had been practicing for at least a week. I was happily surprised it turned out.
I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of Chad or Easton.
Easton had a Valentines party at school on Friday and he loved it and I was there and had my camera but didn't take a single picture.
I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's day!
