Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins last night.
I think this picture is awesome, you can totally see how grossed out Easton is.
Gretchen however was totally grossed out but she doesn't show that on her face.
 Kinslee wouldn't even touch it
until we gave her a spoon.  Easton shared his pumpkin with Kinslee because when we opened up hers it was rotten and nasty inside.

The happy carvers.

Pumpkin Walk 2012

This first picture has nothing to do with the pumpkin walk, but it is seriously dang cute.
 Our naughty little sweetie pie.

Every year we try to go to the pumpkin walk.  It is hundreds of jack o lanterns
All the kids in front of the sign
we let Kinslee walk. Oh man she had the time of her life. She was right at eye level with all the pumpkins.

School Pictures

I love school pictures.  I honestly thought I sent Easton to school with his hair done, but apparently not.  This picture truly shows what he looks like now in 2nd Grade.

Gretchen is beautiful even when she does her fake smile. She is changing so much already since starting Kindergarten. She is actually saying words to people even though it sometimes scares her to death.

Ponytail and Zout

This morning I put all of Kinslee's hair in a ponytail.  It was super cute we had to take a picture.
The pictures don't really do it justice it seriously was super cute.  While I was showering this morning.  Kinslee found the Zout and decided to have a taste.  I am not sure how much she had but since I have been down this road before, we got her a glass a milk and made her drink it.  She seems to be doing fine.  She just has a super clean insides I guess.

Grandma and Grandpa's House

We made a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house this last weekend.  Kinslee loved sitting with Grandpa.

Grandma made sure she got all three kids a bag of candy since she wouldn't be seeing them on Halloween.
Kinslee was in heaven

 Grandma tickling Gretchen and Easton
We sure love visiting Grandma and Grandpa's.

Lost tooth

Gretchen lost her first tooth.  She wouldn't let Chad or I touch it much so I didn't realize how loose it was.  She showed Aunt Andrea and it was out.  The tooth fairy came and Brought a shiny gold coin.

7 years

It has been 7 years today since my mom died.  A lot of things have happened in those 7 years.  I don't think a day has gone by that I haven't thought about my mom.  Lately especially I have really missed my mom.  Some days it is so hard for me that my kids never got to know her.  I have so many questions I wish I could ask her.  I wish I could see her interact with my kids.  I know none of that can happen but some days it just hurts knowing it can't.

I am so incredibly grateful for my mom and the testimony she had.  Growing up and knowing how much she loved the Lord and the gospel was an incredible example to me that made me want to have that same love and knowledge.  I am grateful for all the lessons she taught me. I Love and miss her so much and know that I will be able to see her again.

General Conference

I love General Conference.  I have tried to do fun things for my kids so they will listen but they are kids and nothing has worked until this year.  I have amazing visiting teachers.  They brought me bingo boards and the huge smarties and a treat.
Kinslee didn't really ever listen but she did enjoy the giant smarties.
Gretchen enjoyed playing bingo and she was quiet and listened.  Easton, Chad and I also enjoyed the Bingo and listening to General Conference.  I was so excited when they announced the missionary age change.  It doesn't affect my little family but it was still so exciting.
