Pigtails!!

I did Gretchen's hair in pigtails for the first time. I thought it was so cute and it probably will be all out when she wakes up from her nap, so I had to get pictures.

I couldn't get her to smile so this is what I got.

No More Sippy Cup

I think my kids like to make me a liar. Just a week or two ago I had a post about how Gretchen would drink out of a cup. As you can see she now does drink out of a cup. In fact we threw her sippy cups away. She calls them babas, and was a little mad at me when she saw her baba in the trash. We are now three days in and she is doing very well with just a little cup. That means no more walking around with a sipper cup. Wahoo!

Apparently Easton and Chad taught her how to drink out of a cup when I was not home.

I also finally took her to get her haircut and she can see now.

This is my 300th post. That is a lot of posts. I am sure there are a lot more coming.

Valentine's 2009

Earlier this week I decided since our letter of the week was H that we would make some Heart shaped suckers. Here is the result.Easton liked that you could see through the suckers.
Gretchen thought she was copying Easton and looking threw her sucker.
I usually do her hair but apparently not this day.

For Valentine's Chad and I got the kids a little present.

Easton got a Color Wonder Cars book. He thought that was pretty cool!
Gretchen got two books. A Dog book and a Kitten book.
I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day!!

Dress Up

I think Gretchen is in need of dress up clothes. She loves shoes it doesn't matter who's they are she loves them. Her favorite thing to put on lately is Easton's snow boots.
Well last week she decided that she would start putting on Easton's clothes. She seems to like his coat best. She played while wearing the coat for an hour or so.

Breakfast

Gretchen really enjoys having a bowl of cereal in the morning. She does pretty good with the spoon. For those of you who have had the exciting experience of eating with our family know that Easton still has a hard time using the spoon, so this is a big deal for us. Easton did pick up on how to drink out of a cup after only spilling on himself a few times. Gretchen has not figured the cup thing out to good yet. Gretchen prefers to drink her milk like a dog. Yes this happens every time she has a bowl of cereal. She does get every drop of milk though. I have been wanting to get a picture for weeks but she always catches me with the camera and just smiles. This morning however I was very sneaky and got the picture.

Trains, Coloring, H is for Hearts, and Treats

This post is full of all the activities we did today. Not that we really did a lot. With it snowing all day long I didn't really get much accomplished. Oh well huh! So for Christmas Andrea and Chuck gave me a bag full of fun stuff that I could use to help teach my kids. Well one of the things they gave was this color by number sticker set. When Gretchen went down for her nap Easton and I started to do one. He didn't like doing the same one as me so I ended up doing my own and he did his own. So in my previous post I mentioned that I Love color by numbers. I was in heaven. It only came with 4 papers. Well Easton only got to do one. He is actually going to be mad in the morning and wakes up and sees that I did the other 2 after he went to bed. I might have to get us some more. Here is the first one Easton and I started and then i finished because he wanted to do his own.
Here is the one he did.
When Gretchen woke up we did our letter of the week. This weeks letter is H.
I didn't do Gretchen's hair today so she had a hard time seeing. Oh well she loves coloring.

This is Easton practicing writing H's.

Here is our letter. H is for Hearts.

I would just like to say that I really like our ward and where we live. The people are awesome. So tonight one of my visiting teachers brought me this for my birthday! They are so cute and yummy too!
Oh and my camera broke a few days before Christmas, yeah horrible time. My awesome sister lent me her old one so that was way nice of her. Anyway i sent our camera back to the company a week ago and got it back on Friday and it works and I am so glad to have it back.

Lost Pictures!

Okay they weren't really lost but they are of Easton when he was only a couple of weeks old. I have been having a hard time with him lately. He pushes my buttons and he is just a 4 year old being a 4 year old and I need to remember that. Anyway I think these are dang cute.

You will have to ignore Chads hair. He shaved it all off and that is what sent me into labor. (Or at least I think it did)
Isn't that the cutest thing in the world. Okay maybe I am just a little biased.

A "Super Day"!

Today was a pretty eventful day at our house. Gretchen got to go to nursery today for the first time. She loved it. She walked right in and even waved goodbye to me. When I went to pick her up she got mad and didn't want to leave. Easton did the same thing up until his last day in nursery. I got to listen to the whole Relief Society lesson it was great. Oh and a little side note Gretchen has 3 new teeth and one on the way in. I am a loser mom and didn't even notice. The other fun event was the Super Bowl. We told Easton yesterday that we were going to have a party and eat treats. He was pretty excited and even invited his Sunbeam teacher.
Here is what we had. It actually looks kind of gross but we enjoyed it.
This picture was right after one of the Arizona Cardinal touchdowns.
I love doing self portraits.

This was the best part of the whole day for Easton. This kid loves food. You can get him to do a lot if he knows food will be his reward.
I thought the game was really good. I wanted the Cardinals but thought the game was really good. I love football it is sad it is over for a while.
