Cheese and A Lesson

Kinslee learned to say a new word yesterday.  When I pull out the camera she says Cheese!

This is my favorite picture of her saying Cheese!  I can't believe she is almost 1 years old.
Yesterday since Easton didn't have school we asked him to go pick up all the apples that were on the grass.  He went out and picked up a few.  Then after Gretchen got home from school they both were bundled up and sent out to pick up the apples.  They didn't do it, so Chad picked them all up and then he got to play in the leaves.

Chad covered in leaves.  After he jumped in the leaves he cleaned them all up, and a few hours later it snowed.

Leaves

Easton loves to play in the leaves.  Today we had early out so he got his homework done and it was nice enough to go rake up leaves and play in them.
Here is the big pile he raked up.
Then he and Gretchen jumped in it.

Then Kinslee joined them for a few pictures.
Kinslee wasn't a big fan when I made her lay down to try get a picture of them.
Easton had Gretchen bury him a few times.

They played in the leaves for a while and then we loaded them into the garbage dumpster so we wouldn't ruin the grass.  I ruined my parents grass once by raking up a big pile of leaves and then it snowed and I got in big trouble.

Playing in the Leaves

The past couple of days Easton and Gretchen have loved playing in the leaves. While Easton was raking the leaves into a pile Gretchen was posing for me.
I know here soon instead of leaves they will be playing in the snow. Gretchen doesn't stop talking about making snow angels and Easton can't wait to go sledding. My sister and I were talking the other day and I think adults need to start looking at the weather through kid eyes. Every season would be more enjoyable because it is new and different.

4 years!

I really had no plans to post today or to go to my mother's grave but I was in Bountiful already and it was a nice day. So Easton, Gretchen and I went to Mueller Park Canyon in hopes of picking some nice fall foliage to put on my moms grave.(my mom loved the fall leaves) The good leaves were to high so we got a few and off we went to the cemetery. Gretchen was so excited to go see Grandma Cleverly. I think she was a little confused when we got there and there was no Grandma. Easton told me that he is lucky because he has two favorite grandmas.
It is crazy to think that my mom left this is earth four years ago. I think about her daily and probably always will. I no longer get sad when i think about her being gone. I love her and just hope that I can continue to do my best so that I can see her again someday.

Playing in the Leaves

Tonight we went outside to play. Easton started making a pile of leaves. Gretchen thought it was funny to go and steal leaves from Easton's pile. Of course Easton didn't think it was funny. Anyway I helped Easton make a pretty good sized pile. This is his first time playing in leaves. Yes I know I am a delinquent mother. Next time we are going to get a rake and do a huge pile. Here are some pictures from our night in the leaves.

Isn't this cute. She fell down and I was able to take this picture of her laughing.
Here is Easton's little pile that Gretchen keeps stealing from.

Here is Gretchen stealing.
This is Gretchen getting in the bigger pile of leaves.

Look at the running start he got for that little pile of leaves.

Easton loves "Crunching the leaves" That is what he calls it.
