Easton's Baptsim

Yesterday was a very special day at our house.  Easton chose to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Easton has been counting down the days for weeks.
Easton and Chad before he got baptized.
Easton told his dad after he got baptized that he was cold on the outside but his insides were so warm.
Easton had lots of friends come and support him.  He also had a lot of family who came to celebrate with him.

Our little family.
We took Easton along with his grandparents to dinner to celebrate.  He chose to go to sizzler.  He was in heaven that he got to go to dinner just him with all his grandparents and his parents.  (I didn't get a picture with him and grandpa C.)
It was a very good day and we are so proud of Easton for the choice he made.

General Conference

I love General Conference.  I have tried to do fun things for my kids so they will listen but they are kids and nothing has worked until this year.  I have amazing visiting teachers.  They brought me bingo boards and the huge smarties and a treat.
Kinslee didn't really ever listen but she did enjoy the giant smarties.
Gretchen enjoyed playing bingo and she was quiet and listened.  Easton, Chad and I also enjoyed the Bingo and listening to General Conference.  I was so excited when they announced the missionary age change.  It doesn't affect my little family but it was still so exciting.

Brigham City Temple Open House

This morning we went to the Brigham City Open House.  The temple is beautiful.

Easton's favorite part was the Baptismal font, Gretchen said her favorite part was the cookie at the end, and Kinslee's favorite part was the cookie also.

Time Out For Women

This weekend I was able to go to Time Out For Women with some friends from my ward. It was amazing!  The theme was Seek the Good.  That is such a good reminder for me at this time in my life. On Friday night I got to hear Micheal McLean, I love his songs they are amazing.  Saturday I got to hear Mercy River who was amazing, Julie de Azevedo Hatch speak and sing, and Emily Watts. There was a few other speakers who were awesome and had amazing stories and testimonies.   I came home after two days of feeling the spirit and a new desire to try to be the best me possible.  I am so truly grateful for the gospel in my life, and the knowledge it gives me.

I Love going to temple square to see the lights.

Our whole family in front of the temple.  I was so excited!
Kinslee took off her mittens and was ready to go at this point.

Ward Campout

July 8th was our Ward camp out.  We didn't end up sleeping over but we went up for dinner.  We love our ward and had a good time.
 Chad playing Kick ball

For a couple weeks before the camp out the Bishopric told the primary that they were going to have a tug-o-war them against the primary.  Easton and Gretchen could not stop talking about it.  They were so excited.

Kinslee's Blessing

Yesterday we blessed Kinslee.  Chad did a wonderful job and I am so grateful that he is worthy to be able to bless our children. We had lots of family and friends there to share the day with us.

Kinslee's cousin Christopher giving her kisses!
I really wanted a family picture but we had a child not willing to cooperate.

We decided to kick the to older kids out of the picture and take one.

I told myself I was going to take tons of pictures and I didn't.  I am kicking myself now.

Ward Halloween Party

We had our ward Halloween party last night to kick off our Halloween festivities.  Here is a picture of Easton and Gretchen before we left.
Easton is a Duck Hunter and Gretchen is Cinderella.
I didn't take very many at the party I don't know why.
 Gretchen in the Cupcake walk.
Easton in the cupcake walk.

Chad and Easton playing a game.  Easton won!

Then they trick or treated and came home with a lot of candy.  I haven't stolen to much either, so yeah me!  The party was way fun!

Just a bunch of Stuff

This post is going to be about  a few things that have happened in the past few weeks.  First off I found this picture on my camera of Easton watching President Monson speak during General Conference.  Conference was good as usual.  Of course I missed a few talks do to kids, and my wonderful ability to fall asleep when I should be listening.  I am very glad that I will be able to read the talks in the Ensign.
Last week Easton had his last soccer game of the fall season.  He did so good in soccer this year.  He loved it.  He was sad that the season is over.   He had a pizza party yesterday at his coaches house and got an awesome trophy.  I should have taken a picture but I didn't so just imagine an awesome trophy.     Easton is the one in the black sweatshirt.
This is a picture of Gretchen at Easton's game.  Not the prettiest picture but she wanted me to take it so I did and I am posting it as well.

Last night I was able to go to a Relief Society Craft night and make this cute pumpkin.  I think I might make another one if I can get chad to cut the wood for me.  It was way easy and fun!  I love going to our monthly Relief Society meetings and getting a chance to hang out with the fun ladies in my ward.  I love my ward!

Mission Farwell

Last weekend we were able to go to Idaho to visit with Justin before he went on his mission.  I had to get a picture because we are going to miss Justin he has always been so great with his little cousins and a great nephew.  We are excited for him as he starts his mission and know that he will be a great missionary in Alabama.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

Yesterday we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It was a very beautiful temple. They all are really but I was excited to take my kids inside. Chad was out of town so Charly came with me to help. Thanks again Charly!! After we were done I wanted to go home and see if I could come again today by myself so that I could enjoy the beauty without dealing with a crying little girl and an ornery little boy.
As the day went on and Easton talked about going in the temple I realized that I am way to uptight and that I need to relax. They weren't the only noisy kids and I now know that Easton enjoyed most of it. He even thanked Heavenly Father for letting us go in the temple in our family prayer last night.

Trains, Coloring, H is for Hearts, and Treats

This post is full of all the activities we did today. Not that we really did a lot. With it snowing all day long I didn't really get much accomplished. Oh well huh! So for Christmas Andrea and Chuck gave me a bag full of fun stuff that I could use to help teach my kids. Well one of the things they gave was this color by number sticker set. When Gretchen went down for her nap Easton and I started to do one. He didn't like doing the same one as me so I ended up doing my own and he did his own. So in my previous post I mentioned that I Love color by numbers. I was in heaven. It only came with 4 papers. Well Easton only got to do one. He is actually going to be mad in the morning and wakes up and sees that I did the other 2 after he went to bed. I might have to get us some more. Here is the first one Easton and I started and then i finished because he wanted to do his own.
Here is the one he did.
When Gretchen woke up we did our letter of the week. This weeks letter is H.
I didn't do Gretchen's hair today so she had a hard time seeing. Oh well she loves coloring.

This is Easton practicing writing H's.

Here is our letter. H is for Hearts.

I would just like to say that I really like our ward and where we live. The people are awesome. So tonight one of my visiting teachers brought me this for my birthday! They are so cute and yummy too!
Oh and my camera broke a few days before Christmas, yeah horrible time. My awesome sister lent me her old one so that was way nice of her. Anyway i sent our camera back to the company a week ago and got it back on Friday and it works and I am so glad to have it back.

A "Super Day"!

Today was a pretty eventful day at our house. Gretchen got to go to nursery today for the first time. She loved it. She walked right in and even waved goodbye to me. When I went to pick her up she got mad and didn't want to leave. Easton did the same thing up until his last day in nursery. I got to listen to the whole Relief Society lesson it was great. Oh and a little side note Gretchen has 3 new teeth and one on the way in. I am a loser mom and didn't even notice. The other fun event was the Super Bowl. We told Easton yesterday that we were going to have a party and eat treats. He was pretty excited and even invited his Sunbeam teacher.
Here is what we had. It actually looks kind of gross but we enjoyed it.
This picture was right after one of the Arizona Cardinal touchdowns.
I love doing self portraits.

This was the best part of the whole day for Easton. This kid loves food. You can get him to do a lot if he knows food will be his reward.
I thought the game was really good. I wanted the Cardinals but thought the game was really good. I love football it is sad it is over for a while.
