Memory

Easton's favorite thing to do lately is play a game. He asks to play a game everyday. Right now it is Memory. He is getting pretty good. When he gets a match he does a little dance. I tried to get a picture but my camera was too slow.

He just got a match!

7 Months

Gretchen is 7 months old today. Lately she always has her tongue sticking out. Here are a few pictures of her today.

Today she crawled under her walker and thought she was hot stuff!! Isn't she so cute!

I attempted a ponytail. I thought it was cute. I need to purchase some hair products though.

A Possible Cause

So I recently posted about Gretchen and her sleeping issue. Well Chad may have found the answer to part of the problem. Gretchen is a mover when she sleeps. When we put her in bed we put her at one end because by morning she is at the other. Last night Chad got up with her and she was bumping her head in the corner so he moved her down. She went back to sleep a few minutes later. I told him that she isn't always in the corner when I get up with her so that is why I think it is only a possible cause to her sleeping issues.

I was going to attempt getting a picture of Gretchen asleep with her head in the corner but this was what I found when I went in. She wasn't napping anymore.

Funny Story

Tonight while I was feeding Gretchen her squash Easton was sitting at the table eating some crackers. All of a sudden he says mom I am taking off my socks. Then a few seconds later I hear. "Mom, what the hell I can't get my sock off." I thought maybe I heard him wrong so I asked what did you say? He said, What the hell I can't get my sock off. So I did hear him right. Then I asked him wear he heard that word and he said he heard me say it. Yeah I don't swear much or really at all so pretty much I have no clue where he heard it but. Just imagine a 3 year old saying it and it is funny. At least to me it was funny. Okay Have a wonderful day!!!

Okay since my last post the spell check works. Seriously though I couldn't to get it to work for like 2 weeks now. Oh well not really that important.

Any Suggestions?!?

Gretchen has decided to wake up in the night. She has been doing this for probably about 3 weeks or so. Her doctor told me that since she once slept through the night that I need to let her cry so that she will learn to fall back asleep. So I have given this a try a few times but she seems to wake up our whole house which then causes additional problems. Last night I woke up with her once and 2 hours later she was awake again. So I decided to get her after about 15-20 minutes. She fell right to sleep when I picked her up. She also woke up Easton in the process. I am not sure what to do. I don't know if she is cold, or just a crazy kid that likes to wake up her whole family in the middle of the night or what. I guess I could just get ear plugs for Chad, Easton, and I. Then she could cry all she wants. If you have any suggestions to help me out I would so appreciate it.

Sesame Street

Yesterday Andrea invited us to go with her to the Discovery Gateway. Right now they have a Sesame Street exhibit. Easton had a really good time. Thanks Aunt Andrea for inviting us! Here are a few of the pictures. My camera batteries went dead so I wasn't able to take to many pictures.

This is Gretchen in her carseat waiting to go.

Both of my kids tend to never look at the camera. Andrea's kids sure are cute though!

I think one of Eastons favortie things was pretending to buy stuff at the little store. Actually is favorite part was to push buttons.

Thanks again for inviting us and we are sorry that we had to leave earlier then you had planned.

Happy Valentines Day!!

We have had a pretty eventful day. This morning Chad came home from work because of the weather. Which was nice. Then Easton and I made sugar cookies because My niece Noelle asked me a few weeks ago if i would make her sugar cookies for Valentines day. I don't think they were my best batch ever so I hope she enjoys them. Chad and I gave both Easton and Gretchen some books. It is amazing how much they enjoy books. The best part is I got them at the dollar section at Target. Gretchen was pretty excited. Apparently she really wanted to eat something new. You can see her cute excited face.
I am not sure what is happening with this picture the camera was dirty or something.

For dinner I made most of Chads favorites and we ate by candlelight. Easton thought that was pretty fun. After dinner Easton asked me to dance with him. He thought that was pretty fun and then he asked Gretchen to dance with him. I wish i would have gotten a picture of that but I didn't. Easton thought "Valentime's Day" was a lot of fun.

I hope everyone had a very Happy Valentine's Day

Look What I Can Do!!

I guess I am sort of a slacker mom I forgot I needed to help Gretchen learn how to sit up. The doctor asked if she was sitting up yet at her 6 month appointment last week and I of course had to say no. So we decided to start having her sit up. She really enjoys it. You just put a pile of toys in front of her and she is pretty good. Easton was a lot older before he would sit up alone so I say way to go Gretchen. She is getting so big.

PS. If you are reading this post I think you should leave a comment because I think only like 2 people really read my blog! I guess I am sort of curious.

Are the Contenders Ready?

So funny thing. Easton really likes to watch American Gladiators. Personally I think it is sort of lame. When I was younger it was way better. Anyway I am in my room he is in his playing with his cars when I hear him say Are the contenders ready? Gladiators Ready? Then I hear a few crashes. I thought it was pretty funny.

I am not the best speller and apparently the spell check does not work anymore so I appologize for any spelling mishaps on my part.

Random

I was informed it had been over a week since I last posted. Nothing to exciting has been going on and I haven't been taking to many fun pictures. Here are a few note worthy pictures that have been taken this last week.

As Easton calls it this is Gretchens silly new trick. Kendall told me that Gretchen is doing push ups. She does this all the time and I think it is super cute.

This picture is pretty obvious. She really enjoys brushing those two little teeth.

So I attempt to take pictures of Easton all the time and he either has his eyes shut or not looking at the camera or he wont really smile and just says cheese.

Gretchen smiles quiet a bit but most the time my camera is too slow and we miss it so i was happy to get this cute smile.

Easton asked if he could take a picture. This is what he took a picture of. I am pretty sure he was attempting to take a picture of his dad not his boot.

I have spelling issues and I can't get the spell check to work so sorry!
