Chad did the Lyle Pearson 200 bike relay from Boise to Sun Valley. I am so proud of him. He didn't have much training because they just decided to do this relay the beginning of may. He is excited to do this relay again next year. Chad was able to do this with some great friends. James, Jon, and Jack (Jon's dad).

Two wheels
Last summer Aunt Andrea and Uncle Chuck gave Gretchen a bike. She had no interest in learning to ride it. A week ago she asked her dad to teach her how to ride it. After a few minutes of him holding the back she wanted to try herself. She would go for a few seconds then she would put her foot down. She really wanted a helmet so I told her if she rode it without putting her foot down we would go get it. Yesterday after school she went out by herself and I looked out the window and she was cruising all over the place. Today we went and got her helmet. She is in heaven, she can ride a two wheeler and she has a new helmet.

Family Bike Ride
We went on a family bike ride and Gretchen and Kinslee were in the bike trailer. I asked Gretchen to take some pictures of everyone. When we got home and I checked the camera this is what she took.
We are hoping by the end of the summer to be able to only have Kinslee in the bike trailer. Gretchen is learning to ride a bike without training wheels.

Family Bike Ride
Yesterday Chad got all our bikes all tuned up and we decided to go for a family bike ride. I am not a huge bike fan, so the fact I was going was a little shocking to Easton and Chad.
Gretchen and Kinslee in the bike trailer. Kinslee was asleep by the time we got home. Gretchen was our photographer
We went a little over 5 miles. I actually enjoyed it and we decided to do this more often. Gretchen wishes she could ride her own bike, who knows maybe by the end of the summer.

Chad's Birthday and Saturday fun
Then the rest of our day was pretty much a regular old Saturday! While Chad mowed the lawn the kids rode there bikes. Gretchen wont ride her bike anymore I guess she prefers the trike. Easton really loves his new bike and wants to ride it all the time.
Later in the day Chad and Easton played catch. Easton was way excited to show me how he is getting better at catching the ball.
Even though Chad doesn't care much for birthday's I still think he had a pretty good day!!! We Love him a ton around here and hope he has a good year!!!
