Summer Movies

We are on week four out of ten summer movies. I thought Gretchen would progressively get better at the movie, yep I was so wrong. She gets worse every week. As soon as her popcorn is gone she is done.

Today she was ready to go after like 30 minutes. Today's movie was stupid so I really didn't blame her that much but seriously I am starting to hate the movies myself. Any suggestions? I guess I shouldn't complain since she is free and all. Today's movie was Igor oh man I thought it was so boring.

These pictures are from last week. She thought she was hot stuff sitting by marshal and not mom. Until her popcorn was gone and all of a sudden she was on my lap.

Easton loves it. He is a movie kid even if the movie is dumb he just thinks it is cool he is at the movies.

Zout

For those of you unaware of what Zout is, I will tell you. It is one of the best stain remover's I have used and my kids and myself are messy. It works really really well, on clothes.

Easton decided to try it out on something entirely different tonight.

So this evening Easton went into the bathroom to brush his teeth. I thought nothing of it because well he is trying harder to brush his teeth all by himself. After about 5 minutes in the bathroom with the door shut I thought I better see what is going on. I went into the bathroom and he tried to push me out. I thought hmm that is strange then I see out of the corner of my eye the bottle of Zout with the lid off. I grabbed his tooth brush from his hands and realize he had been brushing his teeth with Zout. I ask him have you been using this to brush your teeth, and of course he says no. Which I knew was not true. So I got to call poison control for the first time. It freaked Easton out a bit, so I think he will stick to using regular old toothpaste.

After I was done talking to poison control I asked him how it tasted and if his teeth were clean he looked at me and said nope I think I missed my back teeth.

The New Sprinkler

This year Easton and I wanted to get Cherry Hill passes but we decided we should save the money. We bought this beach ball sprinkler thing, for the first use Easton invited Kendall over to play in it since his sister will not get in the water. Her idea of fun is to wrap up in a towel.

Kendall and Easton would even cover up the water spouts to get Gretchen to come play but it didn't work out to good.

Happy 68th Birthday!!

Today would have been my mom's 68th birthday!!! A couple week's after my mom passed away I started watching the TV show 7th Heaven. I am a sucker for the feel good cheesy shows, anyway on the show this ladies mom passed away and every year she would still celebrate her mothers birthday and have a special dinner. I wanted to do that but stuff always seemed to happen. This year I was determined to do it. So tonight for dinner we had one of my moms favorite meals. Then all afternoon I have been talking to Easton and Gretchen about my mom and how much she meant to me.

As I got older my mom became one of my closest friends. I talked to her everyday even when I was away at school. I am so grateful for her and all the things she did for me. My mom was the person who helped me gain a testimony of Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord and it showed. I hope that my kids will be able to see that in me.

Look What I did!

My dryer has been broken going on 4 weeks now. Since today it is supposed to be nice I bought some rope and made myself a clothesline. The only problem is i didn't buy enough clothes pins. I have to say it will be nice when I finally get my dryer fixed(who knows when that will be.) but it hasn't been that bad. Yes I have had to hang my clothes all over my house but really I can't complain to much. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Sprinklers!

Today it was warm and sunny all day no rain, it was amazing. Easton wanted to run through the sprinklers so he got his suit on. Gretchen isn't a huge fan of the water currently so I didn't even put her suit on. She was Happy just sitting on the step watching Easton with me. Then she started making some funny faces when Easton would do things.

Oops!

So today has been an adventure. This morning I paid all of my bills, made a few phone calls, and then Kendall, Easton, Gretchen and I were off to run a few errands. Well we made our first stop, returning a few items at Walmart. When we got outside it was raining so I hurried and opened my door and unlocked the car, or so I thought. I set my keys on my seat and the door shut before I had opened the sliding door to load the kids. I go to pull the door handle and it was locked and I look in the window all the doors are locked and the keys are sitting on the seat. Yeah what a fun thing when it is raining and I have kids with me. So I call my sister but she is busy and I can't talk to her. So we walk to my house and the whole way home I am praying that a window is open. Lucky for me a window is open but it is really high and I have no ladder. Finally my sister calls me back and she brings me a ladder. Noelle climbed into the window and was able to open my door and then we went to Walmart to pick up my van with my spare key. I wish I would have had my camera to get a picture of Noelle climbing in my window.

Kendall slept at our house last night and her back pack was in the van. While we were walking to my house Kendall tells Easton I guess I am just going to have to live with you guys now. Before Andrea left my house I gave her a spare key in case I ever do something stupid like this again.

Randomness

Guess What it is is a little before 6pm and my kids are both in bed. They both asked to go to bed at 5:30ish. Lets just hope they decide to sleep all night long.

I was just watching the start of Game 5 and this 7 year old girl sang the Star Spangled Banner and sounded pretty good. There is something that totally bugs me. I was taught that you put your hand on your heart and look at the flag during that song. It is annoying to me to see so many people not doing that. I saw one player for the Magic with his hand on his heart. Way to go guy on the Magic!

My camera is broken and luckily my awesome sister is lending me her old one. I am on the lookout for a new one. I am not the best photographer but would like a good camera that will last. If anyone has any camera suggestions that would be awesome. It isn't something I will be purchasing right away I am saving up for it.

I used to say I didn't like tomatoes but when I was pregnant with one of my kids i ate them and actually liked them. Growing up I sort of did what my brother Brandon did and he didn't like tomatoes so I think I decided I didn't either. So anyway on Saturday I made the best BLT's my family ate them up so fast and we all wanted more but we didn't have enough tomatoes. I am currently snacky and BLT's sound yummy!

I really want to make my blog into a book because i think it is cool. A friend of mine gave me this site that I thought I would share. It is called Blog2print.

Summer Movies

This summer I am taking my kids to the summer movies. So we get to see 10 movies for 5 dollars and I didn't have to pay for Gretchen. So it will be a fun thing we get to do once a week. Easton was beyond excited when he found out that a few of his cousins would be going also. This week Noelle, and Charly couldn't come so Brock and Kaelyn got to come.

The movie this week was Doogal. I don't know that I liked it that much. It wasn't bad but wasn't that good. The kids seemed to like it though.

Fishing

Today we went fishing. Well actually Chad went fishing and we sort of tagged a long. Gretchen really enjoyed sitting in this chair until she almost fell forward and landed in the water.

She went and sat right next to Chad it was cute.

Here is where we were, until it started raining.

Easton found out that fishing is harder then he thought. You sort of have to be quite and he doesn't really enjoy that. He liked exploring everything around us. So this is the only picture I got of him.

Since it started raining we left and drove down the mountain and tried just a local pond and of course it started raining again. This picture is of Gretchen and I at the second fishing place. Gretchen took her hair out while we were driving.

We didn't get any fish. One did get away so that was sad but I think we will definitely go again.

Play Doh

So today I learned that both my kids really enjoy play-doh. Up until today I only let Easton play with it while Gretchen is sleeping. Today they both played with it and it was pretty entertaining for me. I have to say I like play doh but I cannot handle the colors being mixed. It drives me absolutely crazy. As a kid I don't think I cared but as an adult it bugs. So I think I have ruined Easton he was telling Gretchen that she can play with more then one color but she can't mix them together because that is just the rules. They had a good time. Easton started making different foods. It was right before lunch time and I think he was hungry. His favorite food lately is fish sticks. A few weeks ago his Aunt Andrea fed him fish sticks for dinner and he thought it was the greatest thing in the world. I think Andrea told me he ate 19.

After hearing Easton tell Gretchen no mixing the colors I realized I need to just let them mix them if they want. I actually had assumed Easton was mixing the colors all along but apparently he wasn't.

Toy Story 3

I just showed this to Easton and Gretchen. I am not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing since it is still a whole year away. I can't figure out how to get the video on here so if you want to see the little teaser click on the this link.

Anyway Buzz and Woody are pretty big at our house.

I also found that there is going to be a Cars 2 which is also very excited we like that movie at our house. I am not sure this is true though.
