Being the Big Brother

Easton is always asking if he can hold Baby Gretchen. Here are a few pictures of him with his Baby Gretchen. He has been a good big brother and even helps get things when his mom needs them.

He really likes to help feed her.

This is a picture of Easton just after he gave Gretchen a kiss on the cheek. He is too fast for me and the camera to ever capture the shot.

Gretchen

We had the baby a week early. We are naming her Gretchen. She was born on Saturday morning at 5:44am. She weighed 6 pounds and 6 ounces. She is 17 3/4 inches long. She is tiny but we love her to death. Here are just a few pictures. I will try to put more up later.

Here is the proud Dad!!

This is Gretchen with the doll her big brother brought her, they are almost the same size!

This is Chad putting on the first Diaper!

Easton thinks this Big Brother stuff is pretty neat!!

Only 3 more weeks

So I went to the doctor today and I am 37 weeks. The Doctor said everything was looking good and the baby was preparing to be born. We just have one problem. We don't have a name so I am asking for people to comment and give me any suggestions. I don't know that we will end up using the suggestions but we need some new ideas. So if you have recently heard or know of any cute girl names that you are not planning on using or something please please let us know.

Swimming with Cousins

The past few days while Andrea & Chuck have been at Youth Conference, Charly, Noelle & Kendall have been staying with us. Easton has really enjoyed having people here to play with. We went swimming twice yesterday. They had a good time. Kendall started warming up to the water right about the time we left. She even would jump from the side to uncle Chad. Here are a few pictures.

This was Kendalls favorite place to sit. She felt safest here I think.

Here is proof I really do swim.

Uncle Chad did get Kendall to try swim and she thought it was pretty fun.

This is Charly, Kendall, and Noelle doing a train.

This picture was taken after dinner during a movie. They were all pretty tuckered out.

Cherry Hill

Today our apartment complex got a discount if we went to Cherry Hill, we decided Easton would enjoy playing in there little pirates cove. It took him a little while to warm up to it but he had a blast and really enjoyed going down the slide. I personally liked the lazy river the best. Easton liked sitting on the tubes with his dad and getting wet. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of us in the lazy river it was more fun playing in the water then taking the pictures. Overall Cherry Hill was a hit with us all!!

This is Easton and Chad sitting under the waterfall!

This is Easton leaving the waterfall!(If you can't tell)

Our 4th of July

This year our 4th was a little different then what I am used to. We usually go to a family reunion but this year it was cancelled. Our 4th ended up very well. We started the day off by going to breakfast. Then later in the day we went swimming at our pool.
Easton really likes wearing his dads goggles. They fit so well.
Easton learned that if he kicks his feet he can go all by himself with his floaters on. He thought that was pretty fun after a while.
Then we went to the park and met Aunt Andrea's family where we waited for the fireworks.
Here Easton is throwing some pops.
Kendall and Easton really liked the sparklers.
This is a picture of Easton doing sparklers and saying "Cheese"
Easton liked the fireworks. He even asked us last night when we were going to the fireworks. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!

35 Weeks

So yesterday it hit me that I only have 5 weeks left until my due date. I have been telling Chad for a few weeks that I am ready to not be pregnant but after realizing I only have 5 weeks um yeah I don't know if I am completely ready. I guess I have to be there is no other options. I think we have most of the things that we need ready. The crib is up and I have the room ready. We are just missing a few things, but we can get those. The biggest is the fact that we have no names. Which is pretty scary for me but somehow I hope something comes in the next 5 weeks or so. Just a word of warning I am including a picture of me and it isn't the prettiest thing but here I am 35 weeks.
