Lost a Tooth!

When Easton started school I wasn't one of those moms that got real sad.  He was so excited that I couldn't help to be excited for him as he starts school.  I found out what makes me sad.  Losing teeth.  This means that he is going to lose those small teeth and get big teeth and then he will no longer be little.  Yes I know this was going to happen but I didn't know that this would be the thing to make me sad.

Last week on Wednesday he told me his teeth hurt so I felt it and it was barely loose.  Then yesterday after school he told me that when he smiles his tooth moves.  Sure enough that tooth was pretty loose.  I thought maybe it would last until today or tomorrow but when he went to brush his teeth last night it was way loose so I pulled it out.

Here he is this morning with what the tooth fairy brought him.  He was pretty excited that he got a gold dollar.

Gretchen is a little unsure about this whole thing.  When Easton told her the tooth fairy came and took his tooth she wondered why I let monsters come in our house while she was sleeping.

Only 80 Days

When you are pregnant it seems like time goes by in slow motion, at least to me anyway.  Today I noticed that there is only 80 days until my due date.  That seems long but short all at the same time.  When I realized that there are only 80 days to my due date it made me think man that means Christmas is only 96 days away.  That is way soon.  My kids have already been talking about what they are going to ask Santa for.  Easton is under the impression the baby will be born on Christmas, I really hope he is wrong because I don't think I want to go over my due date by 16 days.  I feel really big and am glad that we have school, soccer, Halloween, thanksgiving, plus the other everyday stuff to help make the time go  a little quicker.

Team Soccer Picture

I don't really think this picture needs any words.  It is just plain cute!
Easton has played two games and he scored a goal.  He was so excited it was fun to watch.

Soccer and Practice

Easton had his first soccer game yesterday.  He has improved so much from last year when he started.  He was so excited and he kicked the ball like crazy.
He was the goalie for the last part of the game and the ball only came to him once so this is the best I could get picture wise.
Easton lately is way excited about football, he has been bugging his dad to help him practice for football.  I don't think he can play for two more years but hey starting early never hurts.  Chad was showing Easton that you need to stretch and I thought he looked so cute stretching.
I think this is my favorite picture.

First Day of Dance

Gretchen started dance today.  We signed her up and she has been talking about how she is going to be in dance and was really excited.  Sometimes she is all talk so I was a little worried what might happen when we got there.  She was a little hesitant at first but then after she went in she loved it.  When we were walking to the van she said to me, "Mom I love you, that was so much fun."  It was a success and hopefully she learns and continues to enjoy it.  I didn't get to do dance when I was little so I am sort of clueless but I think she is a dang cute little ballerina.    This is the best picture I could get of her.  She will not just smile anymore she just says CHEESE!

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Easton's First real day of Kindergarten.  It about killed him that he got to go for an hour last week and then he had to wait a whole week before he really started.  He was so excited that he woke up early and could hardly wait until time to go.  When I went to pick him up he was so excited that he got to play on the playground and that he got to have P.E.  I had no idea that P.E. was so cool to a 5 year old.   It is crazy that he is old enough to be in school.  I hope he can keep his excitement for school and learning.

Mission Farwell

Last weekend we were able to go to Idaho to visit with Justin before he went on his mission.  I had to get a picture because we are going to miss Justin he has always been so great with his little cousins and a great nephew.  We are excited for him as he starts his mission and know that he will be a great missionary in Alabama.
