The Zone

This is what I like to call "In the Zone." Sometimes in the mornings I have to allow a little TV time so that I can get a few things done. Usually Gretchen doesn't get "in the zone" but this morning Arthur sparked her attention I guess.

Sometimes he just makes me laugh

Easton frustrates me a lot lately but today he said two things that I have to get written down before I forget.

First of all I was crying(I cry sometimes that's all you need to know) He looked at me and said, "Mom how come you have rain drops coming out of your eyes?" I thought that was funny.

Second, he is having a hard time remembering to flush the toilet. So I said to him when are you going to start remembering to flush the toilet when you are 25 and he looks at me and says no mom when I am 24. Seriously he is cute and I know I need to relax so that is my goal for tomorrow. I got to take this stuff one day at a time.

This is the most recent picture I have of him. At least he is looking at the camera. He tends to get sidetracked very very easily. Isn't he cute though!!

Safety First!

So Chad is out of town and I just went in to check on Easton like I do every night. I usually find a lot of toys and books in bed with him but I have never found anything like this. I happened to have my camera in my hands. I had to take a picture because honestly I think it is hilarious. Obviously not the safest thing and it is a good thing I go in every night to declutter (apparently this isn't a word) his bed from all the toys. Anyway I thought it was funny and I am all alone and had to share.

Back on the Hunt

So I decided I should probably update my blog and let my few readers know that the house we were going to purchase has had some issues and we are back on the house hunt. After having the house inspected we found it needed a new roof, by a new roof I mean new boards, shingles, everything so after a lot of talking to other people and praying we decided it wasn't worth it. We actually drive by the house to go to Andrea's house and this morning Easton said "mom that houses roof is going to cave in so we have to find a new one."

Stalling

So Easton's bedtime is 8pm. It is now about 8:45 and he is still awake. He has been in his room singing and talking. Right now he is singing "I am a Child of God" I guess at least he isn't coming out every two minutes asking for a drink or to tell us something. So as I was typing the last sentence in popped Easton, he had to tell me something. Oh man good thing he is cute.
