Trimming the Tree

We got a new tree this year that is taller and skinnier.  I Love it!  I let Easton and Gretchen do most of the decorating.  So most of the ornaments are lower which probably isn't the greatest with Kinslee cruising around.  Oh well she has to learn sometime that we don't touch the ornaments.
We have a tradition that every year the kids get a new ornament.  Gretchen putting up one of her ornaments.
Easton putting up one of his.
Kinslee and I putting up her last year ornament.
Easton took this picture. I thought it was cute of the two girls looking at the tree.

Happy Thanksgiving 2011

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Andrea and Chucks house.  I forgot my camera, but here is a picture of our Thankful Turkey.  Each day we each wrote something we were thankful for on a feather for our thankful turkey.     Thanksgiving was delicious.  The kids had the time of there life playing with all of there cousins.  They love going to Aunt Andrea's and Uncle chucks house.    Chad took the kids home around 8 to put them in bed and I hung out with my sister and planned my black Friday shopping.  Andrea, Marshal and I went to Target this year.  We came out of the store a half hour after it opened with everything on our list.  I was home in bed at 1am.  It was awesome.

School Pictures

There is something I just love about School pictures. You get your kids ready and send them to school and you just don't know for sure how they will turn out.

Leaves

Easton loves to play in the leaves.  Today we had early out so he got his homework done and it was nice enough to go rake up leaves and play in them.
Here is the big pile he raked up.
Then he and Gretchen jumped in it.

Then Kinslee joined them for a few pictures.
Kinslee wasn't a big fan when I made her lay down to try get a picture of them.
Easton had Gretchen bury him a few times.

They played in the leaves for a while and then we loaded them into the garbage dumpster so we wouldn't ruin the grass.  I ruined my parents grass once by raking up a big pile of leaves and then it snowed and I got in big trouble.

11 months and a Lost Tooth!

It is so crazy this little girl is 11 months old today!  She is walking like a pro these days.  I am pretty sure she is our earliest walker and we didn't even encourage it.  She says Momma, Dada, Baby, Yea, uh-oh, and Ta-da.  Just tonight she blew kisses to her dad.  In the picture on the right she was coming to get me right when I took the picture.
Look at those beautiful blue eyes!   The last 11 months seem to have flown by.  My baby girl is going to be a year in a month.  Crazy stuff!
In other news, Easton finally let me pull his tooth out after three weeks of it barely hanging there.   Doesn't he have a cute two teeth missing grin or what?

Snow!

I Love snow!  As a kid I loved it when it snowed, i loved to play in it for hours.  As an adult I still love snow.  I don't play in it as much anymore but I still love it.  Gretchen has been telling me for about three months that she can't wait until it snows to make a snow angel.  She finally got her wish this morning.  When she woke up and saw that there was snow she was so excited.
Here she is making her snow angel.

Easton loves to play in the snow.  He told me he doesn't like to make snow angels.  Here he is getting ready to throw a snowball at me.
He missed and smiled for the camera.  These are all the pictures I got the camera battery went dead.  Easton played for another 30 minutes in the snow after I took the pictures.  Gretchen came in 3 minutes after.

Halloween 2011

We had a very fun filled Halloween. The kids didn't have school today so we were able to sleep in. Easton and Gretchen made some Halloween candy necklaces and then we went to Aunt Andrea's house to play with cousins. We came home carved pumpkins, ate chili and then went trick or treating.
Gretchen likes trick or treating but only for a little while. She asked her dad to take her home. Easton stayed out for 15-20 more houses and then he was done also.  Happy Halloween!
