Go Fish

Last night we played a game of Go Fish.
Gretchen shows or tells everyone her cards!
Easton loves to tell you he doesn't have the one you asked and then you find out he does.
I like to get out as soon as possible so that it is easier to help Gretchen!
Chad takes it very seriously!

Christmas in April

I Love that it is April and Easton and Gretchen are singing Christmas songs while playing.
This picture is really old.  I  can't get blogger to work and this is the only picture it would let me put on.  It is sort of funny that I am talking about my kids singing Christmas songs and this picture is from Christmas time 2007.

Chad's Birthday and Saturday fun

Saturday was Chad's Birthday,  he doesn't really care much about birthdays especially his.  Chad opted for breakfast out instead of going to dinner.  He has wanted an Ipod Touch for a long time so I splurged and got him the ipod.  The kids made him cards.
Then the rest of our day was pretty much a regular old Saturday! While Chad mowed the lawn the kids rode there bikes. Gretchen wont ride her bike anymore I guess she prefers the trike. Easton really loves his new bike and wants to ride it all the time. Later in the day Chad and Easton played catch. Easton was way excited to show me how he is getting better at catching the ball.

Even though Chad doesn't care much for birthday's I still think he had a pretty good day!!!  We Love him a ton around here and hope he has a good year!!!

Glitter Toes and Snow Boots

This afternoon I got glitter toes for the first time.  I think they are pretty cute.  The fact that they last for a month sounds pretty awesome also.  I also broke out my sandals for the first time today.  I am excited for warmer weather.
On another note Gretchen wont keep her shoes on.  She has a pair of tennis shoes that she can put on her self so this afternoon when I was busy cleaning up a mess she made she wanted her shoes put on and I told her to put them on herself.  After I was done cleaning up the mess I went outside to make sure she was dressed and had shoes on.  This is how I found her.  Yep I busted out my sandals for the first time and she feels the need to wear snow boots.

Microphone

Gretchen has a new love for microphones (Well fake ones anyway).

She likes to use the mallet from Easton's wack-a-mole game best. She will sing into it or come up to you and say, "What's your name?" and then put the microphone into your face. This picture is of her singing along with some song on tv.

She also uses phones, remotes, and spoons for impromptu microphones.

Baskets & Egg Hunting

This year we were at Grandma & Grandpa's for Easter.
Finding her basket!
Checking out her loot!It took Easton a while to find his basket. I thought I got a picture of its hiding spot but I guess not. It was on top of a curio cabinet.
The Easter bunny gives my kids toothbrushes and man do they love it!
Comparing there loot!

I don't know what Easton was doing with his mouth.
This has nothing to do with the baskets but isn't it a cute picture!
Later in the day we had a BBQ and a Easter Egg Hunt
I learned that the money was in the yellow eggs so I was helping Gretchen find as many yellow eggs as possible. Easton took off on his own and this is the only picture I have of him.
After the Easter egg hunt they had a pinata. I have to tell you with my fear of swinging bats and things I am not a fan of pinatas. Anyway this was Gretchen's first encounter with the pinata.
Gretchen and Aunt Shantel helping her.
Since it is Spring Break Grandma wanted to keep the kids at her house this week. When Chad and I left they were all smiles and stood and waved goodbye to us.
