Grocery Store

Yesterday Easton had his last field trip. We went to the grocery store. I some how only got pictures of Gretchen.
This is the magic pencil they got from the bank. It changes colors and I am pretty sure that was Easton's favorite part. Gretchen wanted me to take a picture of her pencil and of course I did.
The Butcher gave them all stickers that said corn fed pork. That was also a big hit with the kids.
They got to go in the fridge and the freezer. Which Easton thought was cool to be behind the milk. Gretchen came out of the freezer crying because it was cold. This last picture is of all 3 classes at Easton's preschool. He is sort of hidden he is on the third row from the bottom.

A few Thoughts

I have to say I love the years the Olympics are on. I like to watch both the winter and summer Olympics. My kids only like to watch them with me sometimes. They do like to sing the song when it first starts every night.

While watching the women's snowboarding halfpipe. I told Gretchen that there was a girl with her same name. After that she thought she was on TV. It was awesome.

On another note. This morning while talking on the phone with my sister. She heard Gretchen crying(Gretchen and Easton fight a lot lately) and said it is weird the different stages our families are in. I hardly ever hear anyone cry at my house.
After I got off the phone with her it made me realize(I have known this but i tend to forget) that they aren't going to be little forever and the whining, and crying will turn into something different. So my new goal is to try to not worry so much about the whining and crying.

Shower/Tub

I don't know why I didn't think to take a before picture. We used to have a nasty shower door on our tub/shower. I hated it from the day we moved in. Chad took it out on Monday and it looks so much better now. I love it!

Thanks for all the work Chad! I Love You!!

Valentine's 2010

We didn't really do anything that exciting this year for Valentine's Day!

Gretchen and I painted our fingernails red. I was going to put white hearts on them but I am not that talented so red was all we got.

While Gretchen and I were doing our nails Chad and Easton went to the store and bought me these pretty flowers.

Sunday I did Gretchen's hair for V-Day!

I had been practicing for at least a week. I was happily surprised it turned out.
I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of Chad or Easton.
Easton had a Valentines party at school on Friday and he loved it and I was there and had my camera but didn't take a single picture.
I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's day!

30

My 30th Birthday When I got out of the shower i found this decorated path to my bedroom door. (not sure why this picture is sideways but you get the idea)

Then Easton brought me this tray with a huge smile on his face. It was fast Sunday and I was fasting. Sure made making breakfast in bed easy for me. At church Chad decided to bear his testimony and also tell the whole ward it was my birthday. Then one of his young men got up and also wished me a happy birthday! That was a little embarrassing but oh well huh, what can you do!

After church Chad, Easton and Gretchen sang Happy Birthday to me! (don't you love how high my apron is?)

Here I am blowing out the candles. We only had 24, so who knows if my wish really will come true.
It was a good Birthday. All of my siblings wished me a happy birthday and I was able to talk with my dad. Thanks Chad for making me feel so good today. I Love You!
I realized yesterday that I might not ever feel like I am way old because the people I care the most about are always going to be older then me(other then my own kids). Okay I know i will feel old sometimes but whats the point of dwelling on it.

Fire Station

On Wednesday Easton's preschool went on a field trip to the fire station. Easton was pretty excited. Lately he says he is going to be a fireman when he grows up. In front of the fire truck. Not the best picture. Gretchen was sneezing and Easton wasn't looking.

All of the kids thought this was the best part when they lifted the ladder as high as it goes.
They also got to go in the big ladder truck.
