Halloween Pictures

I went and got my kids pictures taken in there Halloween costumes last week and I had to share.

I know it is crooked when I scanned it in it kept slipping.

Today is my sister Andrea's 38th birthday!!!

My sister is one of my best friends. I don't know what I would do with out her. She is ten years older then me so sometimes she is like a second mom to me. I know if I have a question about mom stuff she always tries to help me. I know she would do anything for me and my family. My kids love her to death.



Thank You for all you do for us. Thank you for letting me hang out at your house and always talking to me when I just need to talk. Thank you for always saying funny things and making me laugh. I hope you have an awesome day!!!! I Love YOU!!!

Three Years

Three years ago today my mom passed away. I had big plans for today. I wanted to go to the temple with my sister and then go put flowers on my moms grave. Unfortunately the temple is closed on Monday's. Since the temple was closed Andrea and I decided to take the kids with us to put flowers on my moms grave.

This gave me the opportunity to talk to Easton about his grandma. He doesn't know her and it kills me. He gets my mom( his grandma) confused with my grandma( his grandma great) because he sort of remembers her. I know he is little and eventually he will understand. I just need to always tell him about her.

I miss her and it never seems to get any easier. I hate more then anything that my kids didn't get to know her. My mom was one of my best friends. I talked to her everyday. Sometimes I still pick up the phone to talk to her.

I am so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that families can be together forever. I love my Heavenly Father and Brother Jesus so much. I am trying to be the best I can so that I will be able to live with them again.

Happy Birthday Chad!!!

Today is my brother Chad's 35th birthday(I think). I just wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday!!

A Fort!

Chad made a fort for the kids to play in last night. Gretchen thought it was the funniest thing in the world. I wish I had recorded her. She never stopped laughing. Really though who doesn't love a good fort?

Letters A & S

Thursday our letter of the day was A. (For those of you wondering why I started with E then A and so on. We are spelling Easton's Name) For A we ate applesauce with our breakfast. Then we picked up rotten Apples from our lawn and went to Aunt Andrea's


Gretchen usually tries to eat them but on Thursday she actually tried to help she was just to short.

Friday's letter of the day was S. We made Silly paper snakes.

So Easton loves the letter of the day but I have some serious flaws in the plans so maybe by the time we get to Z we will get that all worked out. If you know of any fun activities for certain letters please let me know.

Letter of The Day

I have been feeling like I haven't been the best and most attentive mom lately. I spend more time on the computer during the day then needed. I need to spend more quality time with Easton and Gretchen doing stuff and teaching them. Instead of just being in the same room as them while they are playing. Easton has been a little on the ornery side lately so I decided maybe we should do some sort of learning activities. I came across this blog post. It made me think hmmm maybe would should try it. So I sort of devised my own plan and today was the start of Letter of the Day.

Today's letter is: E

So we went on a walk for Exercise. When we came home we talked about all the different things that start with the letter E. He got to watch Word World one of his favorite shows. He got very excited when there was an Elephant on it. Then when Gretchen took a nap he colored the letter E and we drew pictures of other things that start with E.

He must have been hungry when he was coloring because he kept telling me he was coloring it chocolate brown.

Then we read an Elmo book, and Green Eggs and Ham.

Then during lunch we listened to all the songs on my ipod that started with the letter E. There was only 3, Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood, Everything by Michael Buble, and Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. He loves the Eye of the Tiger so that was only fitting.

Tomorrow is Garbage day so Easton helped to Empty the garbage.
